Where new restaurants popped up across the Charlotte area in 2022 WSOC TV
Though the Charlotte area said goodbye to several restaurants in 2022, dozens more this year opened their doors across the region. Those latest additions run the gamut.
Popular barbecue joints like Mac’s Speed Shop, Noble Smoke and Seoul Food Meat Co. added new outposts in Concord, Optimist Hall and the Optimist Park area, respectively. Multiple taco spots made their debut including El Toro Bruto within Resident Culture Brewing’s new location in the Gold District, Velvet Taco and Condado Tacos in South End and Que Fresa in the FreeMoreWest area. And new-to-market pizza parlors such as Wheelz Pizza in midtown Charlotte and The Crust Pizza in Montford Park also opened.
There were also upscale ventures added to the local dining scene. That includes Bonterra relocating to SouthPark; Italian restaurant Ever Andalo debuting in NoDa; Para opening in South End; and Limani serving its Mediterranean fare in SouthPark’s Phillips Place, to name a new.
Take a closer look here at the establishments added across the Charlotte area this year.
